Senator Nenadi Usman, has resumed office at the Labour Party (LP) National Secretariat in Abuja. The national caretaker committee of the Labour Party led by Senator Nenadi Usman, on Tuesday, resumed office at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, following a court ruling which affirmed its leadership.
Usman and members of her team arrived at the party office at 11am.
Billboards and banners of the former national chairman, Julius Abure, which previously dominated the complex, had been taken down and replaced with large images of Senator Usman, signaling a visible shift in authority following the recent court judgement that affirmed her leadership. Many Party faithful and supporters were seen around the secretariat awaiting further developments as activities gradually picked up. The atmosphere was calm and reflected a sense of anticipation over what many described as a defining moment for the party. Senator Usman’s resumption comes days after the court ruling that settled the protracted leadership tussle within the party, paving the way for her to take full control of the party’s affairs.
