In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As the blessed month of Ramadan dawns upon us, I extend my warmest greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, Africa, and the world. Ramadan is a sacred season of reflection, compassion, self-discipline, and renewed devotion to Allah (SWT). It is a time that reminds us of our shared humanity and our collective responsibility to uplift one another.
This holy month calls us to strengthen the values of peace, patience, justice, and mercy. Beyond fasting from food and drink, Ramadan teaches us to cleanse our hearts, refine our character, and recommit ourselves to acts of kindness, generosity, and service to society.
At a time when our communities and nations face social, economic, and humanitarian challenges, Ramadan offers us a powerful opportunity to nurture unity, tolerance, and understanding. Let us use this period to bridge divides, support the vulnerable, and promote harmony within our families, neighborhoods, and institutions.
I urge all citizens to embody the true spirit of Ramadan by showing empathy to the less privileged, respecting the dignity of others, and contributing positively to national development. Together, through sincerity of faith and collective goodwill, we can build a more just, peaceful, and compassionate society.
May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting, prayers, and supplications. May He grant us forgiveness, guidance, and abundant blessings. May this Ramadan bring peace to our homes, progress to our nation, and hope to humanity.
Ramadan Mubarak.
