Several Dignitaries drawn across the seven Northwest states are expected to converge on Kano today, as the National Youth Alliance (NYA) inaugurates 186 local government coordinators from the seven states that make u the geopolitical zone, ahead of the 2027 general elections in the country.
A statement signed by the National Publicity & Media Director NYA, Kurvie Oyibo, made available to our correspondent yesterday, the landmark event represents a bold step towards strengthening grassroots leadership and advancing inclusive political participation across the region.
The statement informed that the event billed for Monday February 2, 2026, will have as its theme, “Birthing a New Nigeria: Youth & Women Inclusion in Politics and Governance”.
It added that National Chairman, Action Democratic Party (ADP), Engr. Yabagi Yusuf Sani would serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while Member House of Representatives representing Gwaram Federal Constituency, Hon. Yusuf Shitu Galambi, would be the Chairman of the Occasion.
The Executive Chairman Ajingi Local Government Kano State, Prof. Abdulhadi Zubairu Chula, would be the Guest Speaker, while Chairperson Luwa Farm and Mines Ltd, Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Gamawa would serve as Mother of the Day.
Expected Special Guests are, Special Adviser to the Governor of Kano State, Hajiya Aisha Mai Jama’a, Special Adviser Youth and Sports to the Governor of Kano State, Hon. Sani Musa Danja, Executive Secretary Kano State Censorship Board, Hon. Abba El-Mustapha and Special Adviser on Drugs Narcotics and Trafficking to the Governor of Katsina State, Hon. Shehu Abdu Daura.

The event scheduled for the Mambayya House, Gwammaja, Kano State, is expected to commence by 11:00a.m. prompt according to the statement.
“The inauguration underscores the National Youth Alliance’s unwavering commitment to empowering young people and women as critical drivers of democratic governance and national transformation.
