SPEECH BY THE CHAIRMAN/CEO NAHCON PROFESSOR ABDULLAHI SALEH USMAN, DURING A MEETING WITH STATE MEDICAL TEAM LEADS AT THE CONFERENCE HALL, HAJJ HOUSE.
29th December 2025
Protocol,
Assalamu alaikum,
I welcome you all to this important meeting of State Medical Team Leads convened by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.
I appreciate your prompt response to our invitation and your continued commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims. Your presence here today reflects a shared understanding that healthcare delivery during Hajj is a core responsibility. It requires early planning, coordination, and strict compliance with established standards.
The purpose of this meeting is clear. We are here to begin structured preparations for the 2026 Hajj medical operations. We are also here to carefully review and align with the 2026 hajj health guidelines issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These guidelines are binding. They shape our operational decisions. Nigeria must comply fully and without hesitation.
NAHCON, as the Hajj regulator in Nigeria, takes this responsibility seriously. We are determined to ensure that medical services for Nigerian pilgrims meet acceptable international and Saudi standards. This requires discipline. Professionalism and unity of purpose between the Commission, the States, and the medical teams.
On behalf of the Commission, I assure you of our full support as we work together to strengthen medical preparedness for the 2026 Hajj. NAHCON will continue to provide guidance, coordination, and oversight to ensure that no aspect of pilgrim healthcare is left to chance.
Once again, I welcome you and wish us productive deliberations.
Thank you.
Jazakhallah Khairan.
