The House of Representatives candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Toro Federal Constituency, Isa Yakubu Buba has said the NDC is providing a credible alternative platform for Nigerians in view of the failures of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Buba stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after receiving his candidature certificate
after the National Executive Council NEC meeting of the party at the National Secretariat in Abuja.
The aspiring lawmaker who also attended the party’s dinner, said if Nigerians truly desire progress and development at all levels, the right choice is the party’s presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso.
“If Nigerians truly want to see progress and development, the right men for the job are Peter Obi and his vice, Rabiu Kwankwaso. I urge Nigerians to look beyond religion and ethnicity and give NDC a chance to produce the next president because the party has the right people to fix Nigeria,” he said.
According to him, Obi’s track record as governor of Anambra State and Kwankwaso’s achievements as governor of Kano State prove their capacity to lead.
“When Peter Obi was governor of Anambra State, he brought development to the state. Kwankwaso is also a force to reckon with considering his achievements as governor in Kano State and as someone who has built and mentored many youths and leaders who have excelled in various fields of human endeavour,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians to rally behind the NDC at all levels.
“I call on Nigerians to rally round the NDC at all levels and support its candidates because they have what it takes to change the narrative and bring development, security and progress to all regions of the country,” Buba added.
