In a move to finalize critical arrangements for the 2026 Hajj exercise, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has departed Nigeria for Saudi Arabia on an official working visit.
This development was confirmed in a statement issued on Sunday by Ahmad Muazu, Technical Assistant on Media to the NAHCON Chairman.
According to Muazu, the visit is aimed at wrapping up key operational plans in line with the Commission’s approved timeline for the 2026 pilgrimage.
“The Chairman is working tirelessly inorder to ensure a hitch free hajj exercise, that is why he embarked on this very important trip” he said.
He emphasized that the trip underscores NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
Before his departure, Professor Usman was seen off by officials of the Commission’s Kano Zonal Office, led by the Zonal Coordinator, Malam Umar Kalgo.
