The Executive Chairman of Tranter IT Group and President of the Information Technology Association of Nigeria, Dr. Emmanuel Ayoola, has said that centralized application management is critical to ensuring smooth data transmission, effective decision-making, and robust cyber security across both public and private institutions.
Dr. Ayoola stated this on Wednesday during a one-day IT Governance Conference 2026 held at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
According to him, managing applications from a central point helps organizations resolve multiple operational challenges while guaranteeing that data flows seamlessly and securely.
“The use of a central application will help you resolve all types of issues and make sure data transmission is smooth and effective, and cyber security is taken care of,” he said.
“To ensure information is connected so that decisions can be made based on the overall data sets, we must have systems that allow us to make the right decisions.”
Dr. Ayoola noted that one of the simplest yet most effective ways to improve cyber security is through proper device and patch management. He added that Tranter IT Group is rolling out a range of solutions, including applications for patch management and identity management.
“Who is allowed to access your network? By having an effective identity management system, you can improve cyber security and manage what anyone can do within your network,” he stated.
He described the beauty of integrated management as its ability to provide “a full spectrum of services” and ensure seamless integration between different applications.
“It’s about coming together as a unifying force to ensure that your cyber security is taken care of from end to end,” he added.
Citing progress in Nigeria’s digital journey, Dr. Ayoola said organizations like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) are already patronizing ManageEngine solutions, a sign that government institutions are embracing technology for efficiency and security.
Also speaking at the event, the Convener of ITGOV Nigeria 2026, Mrs. Melanie Ayoola, expressed appreciation to partners such as CBN and other stakeholders for their support.
She said the era of digital transformation is defined by speed, not size.
“This is the era where speed is really the advantage and not size,” she said.
Mrs. Ayoola disclosed that Tranter IT’s partner network has grown from just 4 partners in 2017 to about 100 in 2026. The network, she said, is made up of Nigerian IT service companies working to drive digital transformation across industries and in Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs.
“We ensure that the government of Nigeria gets as much attention as they require,” she said. “Initially, we want to support the mandate of different MDAs as instructed by the President. Based on the targets and goals, there is a lot of digitization aimed at increasing the productivity of the entire workforce, and they need to be secured. ManageEngine is increasing productivity.”
She noted that more government agencies including FIRS are now engaging IT solutions to deliver services online.
“Making sure that what you promised, no matter who pays you, they can access online from the comfort of their homes and offices. The government will get a lot of securely delivered services,” she stated.
Mrs. Ayoola added that ManageEngine is also focused on capacity building and network monitoring to ensure that promised services remain available, secure, and functional.
The ITGOV Nigeria 2026 conference brought together IT leaders, government officials, and technology partners to discuss strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and cyber security framework.
