Frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Aspirant for Bauchi South, Brigadier General Abubakar Sulaiman Mai Kano (Rtd), has commended the leadership of the party for providing an enabling environment for aspirants to participate in the forthcoming primary elections.
Brig. Gen. Sulaiman Mai Kano (Rtd) gave the commendation while briefing newsmen shortly after he was successfully screened by the committee in Abuja.
The retired military officer described the screening exercise as a success, noting that the party deserves accolades for allowing all aspirants to purchase and submit their forms before appearing before the screening panel.
He emphasized the importance of unity among members and aspirants of the APC, stressing that collective effort is necessary to ensure the party secures an overwhelming victory in 2027.
Mai Kano further urged aspirants and stakeholders to accept the outcome of the forthcoming primaries in good faith, saying such acceptance is vital for the progress of the party.
Similarly, Senator Tijjani Kaura, speaking in an interview, stated that Nigeria can never achieve meaningful development until leaders see themselves as servants elected to serve, rather than individuals elected to enjoy luxury.
Kaura added that as a former lawmaker, he intends to return to the Senate to continue the good works he had started.
